Something extraordinary is happening across the globe!! Christians from every country and denomination are praying non-stop, night and day, for unity and peace. Here in Harrogate, 13 different churches join together to create our very own 24-7 prayer rooms.
Its time for our next town wide 24-7 prayer and we’d like to invite you to join us:

Streams of living water.
On the last and greatest day of the festival, Jesus stood and said in a loud voice, “Let anyone who is thirsty come to me and drink. Whoever believes in me, as Scripture has said, rivers of living water will flow from within them.” Matt 7: 37-38
At the last Harrogate 24-7 prayer week a number of us felt God speaking about springs and wells, seeing the water of God’s presence flow again in our lives, in our churches, in our town.
This week we will be focussing our prayers on this theme, and praying that God would teach us to unblock the wells and find the springs, that we might be in the river of his presence.
We’ll be praying at Kairos Network Church, who have been creating a new permanent prayer room. They hope that here, just a little way from the original Harrogate Cold Bath well, they will be able to develop a spring of life that will reach many in the town. This week is the first event in this new prayer room and we’d love you to join in by praying night and day.
Day – Monday to Friday this week the prayer room will be open and hosted from morning prayer at 9:30am until evening prayer at 5pm. You can just turn up, visit the space and pray. Of course you can still book, if that helps you remember when you are praying.
Night – We’d love to fill up the hours between 5pm and 9am each evening, and the whole days on Saturday and Sunday. Head to to book an hour or more, either on your own, with a couple of friends or your community or small group.

(All children to be accompanied by a responsible adult. And please take care if coming to the prayer room alone. If you don’t feel safe, please don’t feel obliged to come even if you’ve booked a slot – it’s absolutely fine to pray at home instead.)

Spring 2024 Prayer Room: “Blessed are the Peacemakers” (Matt 5:9):
“Creeping out of the house in the middle of the night to pray felt like such treasure, so exciting! I have drawn and sung and kneeled and laid down. Laughed and cried and felt so peaceful. I’ve loved the fairy lights and the cosy corners, the feel of the floor, the creative tasks and beautiful books. I felt connected with parts of the earth I have never seen and people I have never met. I have sat and rested at the knee of the creator of the universe. It is a space to feel Loved, in spite of everything in us and in the world.”
“The prayer room was so good. Thank you so much to you and everyone else involved. I thought an hour would be plenty of time but actually I could happily have stayed 2-3 hours. There was so much to engage with and some really thoughtful creative ideas. I found it very moving being alone in that space with God and knowing that it was a continuous place of prayer – there was definitely a tangible sense of the presence of God and it was so peaceful. I came home with several post it notes to stick in my journal of things that came to mind whilst I was praying.”
